Space travel requires a lot of fuel; a single space shuttle launch requires almost 4 million pounds. A group of students and professors from Purdue and Penn State are exploring ways to lighten the load for future rocket missions, and they have developed a new fuel that could make it possible to stop at the Moon for a fill up.
