- Amazing Nano Brothers Juggling Show (Live Presentation)
- Join Dan and Joel as they jiggle and juggle their way through the mysteries of the atomic world and learn how to "see" the unseeable through scanning probe microscopy. Watch out for flying birdbaths and eight-foot unicycles. Who knew nanoscale physics and chemistry could be this much fun? This show ... (details).
- Blame It On El Niño (Live Presentation)
- What is El Niño? Learn about the mechanisms that drive this mysterious phenomenon, and how El Niño manipulates weather around the world. Will our winter be impacted this year? Join us to find out. (details).
- Design Challenges (Live Presentation)
- This live Museum offering is designed to introduce students and visitors to the engineering design cycle. By participating in a hands-on activity to design, build, and test a prototype solution to a given problem, visitors have a fun and engaging experience with engineering and innovation processes. The ... (details).
- Earth and Space Exploration (Live Presentation)
- Watch a demonstration on the changes happening on our planet, or explore the solar system and beyond with a presentation on the latest space missions. (details).
- Earthquakes! (Live Presentation)
- What causes earthquakes and tsunamis, and how well can we predict them? Hear about the tools and technologies that help us understand and prepare for these events. (details).
- Electricity! (Live Presentation)
- Learn about the connections between electric and magnetic forces with this high-voltage presentation. Witness a demonstration of lightning created by the world's largest air-insulated Van de Graaff generator. (details).
- Extreme Winter (Live Presentation)
- Blizzards! Floods! Severe cold! Learn why our record-breaking winter has been so extreme. (details).
- Hands-on Laboratory (Live Presentation)
- You be the scientist! Drop in for ongoing activities and help conduct real experiments. (details).
- Lightning! (Live Presentation)
- Indoor bolts produced by the world's largest air-insulated Van de Graaff generator spark exciting explorations of lightning, electric charge, and storm safety. (details).
- Live Animal Presentation (Live Presentation)
- With help from members of the Museum's live animal collection, our knowledgeable staff address behaviors, environments, classification, and adaptations. Students will observe a live animal and be exposed to characteristics of the animal and adaptations that help the animal live in its environment ... (details).
- Mind Games & Optical Illusions (Live Presentation)
- Volunteers from the audience participate in demonstrations that reveal how the brain can be tricked. See the world the way it really isn't, and investigate how our senses trick us. Visit the exhibit Seeing Is Deceiving before or after this presentation. (details).
- Nanosilver: Breakthrough or Biohazard? (Live Presentation)
- The next breakthrough in the fight against infection and disease could come from nanosilver tiny silver particles that kill bacteria. These mini microbicides are now appearing in household products from hairdryers to teddy bears, but some questions remain about their effects on the human body and the environment ... (details).
- News from the Red Planet (Live Presentation)
- Could ancient Mars have had oceans, rivers, and even simple life forms? Hear about the latest discoveries by our Mars rovers and orbiters, and get a preview of future Mars missions. (details).
- Our Bodies, Our Health (Live Presentation)
- Hear about exciting health research on topics such as obesity, cancer, nanomedicine, and stem cells. (details).
